HOTEL WITHIN NATURE
The “Cruz de Tejeda”, epicentre of the island, has an alFtude of 1500 m and on the top
of the caldera of Tejeda is the Hotel El Refugio, a typical canary house of the XIX
century.
From this unique locaFon (nature reserve with amazing landscapes shaped by volcanic
lava and exuberant vegetaFon), we can admire Roque del Fraile, Bentayga and the
breath-taking Roque Nublo (1803 m), the last one declared natural monument and
symbol of Gran Canaria.
Above the Hotel El Refugio the less contaminated sky of the world seems to be closer.
Proclaimed by the UNESCO as Starlight Tourist DesAnaAon, the sky above the island
will let you see a universe of galaxies and admire extraordinarily millions of star and
planets. Under the stars, our guests can dream wrapped up in our beauFful and unique
rooms, each of them with its own personality, decorated with arFsan furniture and
other elements, where our guests will always feel comfortable and like if they were at
home.
